The Candy Shop War Card Game Kickstarter Campaign Has Started!

Welcome, everyone, to my blog. I will be posting daily on the latest news about Brandon Mull's books. To kick things off (pun intended), I have decided to make my first post dedicated to the Kickstarter campaign that started on the 29th of January for the Candy Shop War Card game.

If you bought the second book of the Candy Shop War, The Arcade Catastrophe, it is likely that you found that your book contained some cards from this game. Imagine the simplicity of Yahtzee mixed with the fast-paced action and card play of Pokemon and you've got The Candy Shop War Card Game. Like any Kickstarter project, the more money you pledge, the better the prizes you will get. Here are the different prizes you can get:

• $10: BOOK 1 - A copy of the Candy Shop War vol. 1 paperback version autographed by Brandon Mull. Candy Shop War wristbands, stickers, and tickets included.
• $25: BOOK 2 - A copy of the Candy Shop War vol. 2 Arcade Catastrophe hardback version autographed by Brandon Mull. Candy Shop War wristbands, stickers, and tickets included.
• $35: 1 COPY OF THE CANDY SHOP WAR CARD GAME. Candy Shop War wristbands, stickers, and tickets included. Add $15 for shipping outside the US.
• $40: 1 COPY OF THE CANDY SHOP WAR CARD GAME, and a copy of The Candy Shop War vol. 1 in paperback autographed by Brandon Mull. Candy Shop War wristbands, stickers, and tickets included.
• $50: A V.I.P. pass to submit a manuscript directly to Brandon's acquisition editor at Shadow Mountain to be reviewed for possible publication by September at the latest.
• $60: 2 COPIES OF THE CANDY SHOP WAR CARD GAME. Candy Shop War wristbands, stickers, and tickets included. Add $15 for shipping outside the US.

• $500: Have Brandon Mull come to your child's classroom or school during the 2013/2014 school year.
• $2,000: A dinner with Brandon Mull, a visit to the Shadow Mountain offices, and a one night stay in Salt Lake City.

I donated $35, which means I will be getting one copy of the card game. This Kickstarter campaign only lasts until Febuary 28, and needs to recieve $10,000 in pledges. If this does not happen, this awesome game will never become a reality! Here is the video I made promoting the campaign:
